Hi folks,

The radiator in my '65 SB is starting to show some minor leaks. It's not a problem at this point but I'm thinking of replacing it before it decides to blow up in some remote location with no cell phone reception (isn't that where it always happens?). It's a correct, undated Harrison and my plan is to replace it with another one, but dated this time, plus all the original-style GM hoses. Any flaws in this plan? Is there such a thing as recoring with Harrisons and if so, is it even worth it?

You may be asking yourself why I would want to pay extra for the date but it's a numbers-matching car so I like the correctness of having a matching date.

Thanks in advance!

1. cannot "recore" aluminum C2 rads.

2. I have no issue with putting correct stuff on the car where possible, I myself replaced a failing brass rad in my 65 with a correct, dated Harrison rad from Dewitts

3. I urge you to also get in touch with Dewitt, they are the only ones making the correct replacement rad, here is the link to their website:

http://www.dewitts.com/

edit - you'll want Tom Dewitts' model 941 — GM# 3155316, it is atually a thing of beauty, if you can feel that way about a radiator. Product link:

No-brainer; get a dated DeWitt's reproduction of the original Harrison stacked-plate aluminum radiator and watch the scenery instead of the temperature gauge :D
:beer

The advise above is right on the money. Call DeWitts and you will be very happy. I'll be calling on Tom again for another rad for the new project.
