Recently have been experiencing rear wheel slippage (one sided) with acceleration on previously non-problematic 66 positraction vette. Any suggestions as to root of problem?

If you mean that it's acting like a non posi . my guess is the posi clutches are worn. The diff is pretty much the same up to '79 ,I have a 78 in my '64 (63-64 posi units are odd 65-79 are a better design)
So you may want to post this in the C-3 section where there's a lot more action. good luck

The limited slip differential (positraction) is failing or has failed.

Overhaul the diff.
