My painter shot the color coat on the car last Friday in a $100K down draft spray booth and baked it for 1/2 hour @ 160°. These shots were taken in his storage bay and the light wasn't real good, so I had to use a lot of brightness and contrast, but the tint is #984 Sunfire Yellow.

I should have the car back in 2-3 weeks after he puts the car back together and wet sands the body with #1500 sandpaper, buffs it out with a wool pad and 3M compound, then buffs it again with a foam polishing pad and glaze, then a handwax with Meguiar's #7 handwax. Can't wait to get it back! PT :D

As I said over in the "other place" it looks very nice. Why do people post in two Fora? I see this all the time.

Because, the Forum I originally posted the photos at wouldn't take them....said "too many images and/or smileys". So I posted them here and at the Corvette Forum to find out where the problem was. No problem here or there though...just a test. PT

Looks fantastic, Patrick!

Paul, I think folks find different things at different forums. Here at the CAC, we pride ourselves on the technical database Rob has accumulated. We're trying to attract the most positive elements of the hobby without having to put up with the negatives. It's not always an easy balance to achieve.

Other forums might be bigger but we're committed to quality over quantity.

The car looks great! Very exciting. Just in time for spring. Glad you posted here too or I would have missed these great pics.
