I believe it was the Ronald McDonald House that was holding a raffle for a
67 L-89. I can't seem to find the info to purchase tickets.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it, or is the raffle over?

Thanks, Barry. That was exactly it.
I saw the car 2 weekends ago. The TI amplifier has been installed, the rest goes on soon. The carbs are off and being rebuilt. The steering box has been rebuilt (some previous Bubba rebuilt it and put regular gear lube in it which was leaking out) and a new rag joint reinstalled. New fuel pump has been installed and a lot of various wrong bolts, backwards bolts, incorrect bolts have been installed. It has new shocks which Tony's boys painted gray to look original have been installed. Horns are being rebuilt and a new rt hand vent window regulator are being put on. Also, a new driver's side window channel (around the upper and side of the glass) should be installed this week.
Incredible amount of work. Now, like you, I need to rob a bank to pay for it all.
I check the reports on your car on the site and I can't wait to see how your car will look with her new paint/body work. As I said, we gotta get together with Rick and Chuck and any other mid-years (still can't get comfortable calling them C-2's) for a photo shoot and/or cruise (or curse as 67heaven called it).

When I bought my car the previous owner must have had the steering box rebuilt or at least looked at during the restoration, but like so many other things on this car it had been done wrong. Mine didn't have regular gear lube in it, it had been filled with some kind of oil almost like regular motor oil.
Yep, we need to get together - at least at Carlisle if nothing sooner.
I'm waiting to hear back from my painter today. I spoke to him this morning and he was expecting another sample pint of paint from the supplier. I have my fingers crossed that they have gotten it correct this time........

Your car will be perfect when Tony's gets done with it, I can't wait to see it.

I still have a long list of things on my car I want to redo after I get her back but most will have to wait until the Fall again when she will be back off the road for the winter.
