I've searched for a spare for my 67 w/original tub and I've come up with a compact spare from a late 90s S10 pickup with a 16x4 tire.. my question is this for a 4x2 or a 4x4?? I've been told it makes a difference..

Thoughts??

Thanks
Jim

I use a mini spare from a 1997 S10 Blazer which is a 16 inch rim. I don't think there is a difference with 2x4 or 4x4. Just do a test fit to be sure. I chose this spare because it is 25 inches tall which is close to my tire size. I would not mount it on the rear axle because of the posi rear end, I will only use it on the front to get me home.

Thanks,
Found one at a junk yard for $40.
