My car was in storage for years. it has an aftermarket radio that was put in long ago. It was working though the on off knob would crackle/scratchy when turned on. sounded like the contact was dirty or corroded from sitting so long but it did work once it was on. The other day it didnt work , checked the fuse and it was blown put in a new one that blew. Not sure howto check the cause. to pull the radio I was told id need to take out the whole instrument panel that its attached to. Is that the only way and if so how do I go about it? my shop manual is very unclear about radio removal.
