can you get a detailed info on aT-top to conv swap from wade at Corvette alley, I would like to try it but I cant get my vette to FLA. writen instruction step by step, photos etc would be great..

I just saw Wade yesterday. He is in fact doing a conversion like this very soon.

I can tell you what is involved. You pretty much need to have a convertible car from the door jambs back. From the firewall back is even better.

What specifically do you want me to check on? He had a bad injury to his right leg and was out of the loop for a couple of months. He is back at it now

I need a parts list and how he does it--- makes a T-top to a rag top

I am in the Houston area for a while and would like to have my friend start on it at his shop ASAP.

He is doing one now.

Basically, you need a convertible car from the firewall back. Then, all the parts are there, and you simply swap the clip, transfer parts, glue the nose back on, and paint it.

Otherwise, you need at a minimum the b-pillar back on the convertible donor car. It can be fused into the coupe, and the windshield frame can be modified with a convertible center section, and those are available from most Corvette aftermarket companies.

I am still not sure how to answer your question, because as far as I know, and what I have discussed with Wade is that there is no "formula/parts list", other than having as much of a convertible donor car as possible to do the switch.

He has a early 70s model now that he is getting ready to "create" into a full blown convertible car with what is left of a coupe.
