69 rear view mirror

I just came across the original rearview mirror from my 69. I upgraded to a C4 mirror.

It is about 75% as far as looks, and 100% functional.

The first $20 plus shipping can have it.

CHRIS , how close in style is that mirror to a 74? also does that include the attaching arm?

I don't know if it is the same as a 74. I can snap a pic and upload later. The little two prong tang that holds it to the car is no good, this is just the mirror with the mounting arm and ball socket shaft...just not the tab that holds it to the car.

Date code? I have no idea what it is.

It is to the best of my knowledge the original mirror from my 69.

Been very busy dealing with a problem 85 Vette ALLLLLLLL day today. The mirror is right there on the bench, but I did not get around to looking at it. It is getting COLD here in Florida tonight. I will get out there and look it over on Sunday afternoon.

The codes are very small on the glass edge and difficult to reproduce, which makes them a VHTF, required item.

When you say on the glass edge...do you mean literally on the glass or on the bezel that goes around the glass? And when you say small...how small is small?? Is it on the top or bottom of the mirror?

I can't find any numbers.

It does say made in the USA on the bottom,

it says GUIDE GLARE PROOF on the top near the mount.

Oh......you are right. I have two original 69 side driver's mirrors. Both have numberss, but the ball stud is shot in those.

I went to the C4 mirror as it had map lights on the bottom that tied in nice to the other modern items on the car.
