69 Transmission heat sheild

Hi all,

I am putting my 69 back together with some extra parts it did not have before. Can someone plaese tell me if the batt. cable goes above, or below the tranmission heat sheild? My guess is the sheild goes up tight against the body and the cable goes in second. Any help would be appreciated.

The cable goes between the back side of the heat shield and the underbody (not "on top" of the heat shield).
