Looking at my deck lid, I can see the back (hinged side) sits up a little higher than the body. The front (latched side) has good alignment. I can push the rear down as if maybe the weatherstripping is too thick or improperly aligned and is holding the lid up a little in the back.
My question is how is the weatherstrip supposed to sit on the body channel when the deck is closed. Does it sit on the inside lip of the channel, or does it not touch the channel at all? Right now some of it is on the lip of the channel and some of it is totally inside of the channel, not compressed at all when the lid is closed. I'm considering getting new weatherstrip and would like to know how it should all line up. Thanks for any info.
