7" backspacing to much for 81

I was wondering if a 7" backspace for 81 corvette is too much? I know I have a bunch of stupid questions so thanks for puttin up with me.

First of all there is no stupid questions. And now to answer your question, I must say that with stock trailing arms 4" is max. 7" is way too much, but it can be made to work with wheel adaptors.
