70 to 72 lt1

hi from down under,does any one know how many convertible lt1s were produced for these model years 1970/1971/1972?

GM did not keep stats on combinations of options, so any numbers you hear will be a guess. Sorry.

It's definitely rare. They only made ~5K LT-1's in all, coupes and verts. I've only seen a couple of LT-1 verts in my time.

thanks guys,i have had mine now for 15years and i have allways wonderd about it,there are 5 lt1s in australia 2 are convertibles,i should jion the n.c.r.s. i believe they are a wealth of information.

i heard about 490, plus a couple, convertibles were built for 1970. exact number is unknown.

Yes you should the NCRS.I have been a memmber for 13 years and counting.The publications they put out are second to none.
