The 700R4 is next on my list, from what I have heard when installing this trany in a shark is the od is just that OD, you should start in D and when you get up to speed you shift it into ODand when you drop back down you shift it back to D.
Don't know if this correct but that's just what I have heard. something about burning you OD unit up. Wasn't it first installed in computer base vehicles?

I usually don't shift into OD until 65 mph. The worst thing you can do is lug the car along in OD at 45 mph -- it tears up the tranny real bad.

Find a tranny shop you can trust, and have the problem diagnosed and fixed before it gets real expensive!

Because these cars don't have computers, we do indeed have to treat OD like a manual gear -- shifting in as we get up to speed, and then out again as we slow down.
