Lots of patience!!!!:confused . Your best bet is to get a manual ( original or Hayes).I did my 72 big block and it comes out from inside so a ton of things need to be removed ( console, radio, etc.). Be carful with the Bowden cables as you don't want to bend them.I worked about 8 to 10 hours start to finish. Hope it goes o.k.:w

Its not that tough. You need to remove the dash section (just the lower) on the passengerside. The heater core is in a black box mounted on the firewall inside the car. There will be some vac lines and cables attached to it....you need to remove these lines. There should be three screws (inside) holding the box to the firewall. There should be one screw up high on the fire wall in the engine compartment. Crawl under the car and disconnect the two water hoses....you will probably need to cut them off...might as well replace these two hoses as well. Once you have the box free, from the inside, lift and rotate at the same time. Once you have the box out open it carefully and remove the core. Reinstall in the reverse.

The previous poster is also correct...the center cluster will also have to come out to access the duct distribution box...you need to remove the duct work on the passengerside as well. This distribution box is behind the center cluster. If you have never had this cluster out before be aware that it is screwed to the console plate, be carful not to break either.

Thanks for the help
All the above plus either buy your new core from a radiator repair shop or have your new core pressure checked at a radiator shop. Not cool to r&r a core just to see the "new" one LEAK!
