I am starting my first C3 project (72 convert. SB, auto) and have several questions. First, I want to replace the core support. It appears that it is a main support for the front end, do I need to worry about supporting the front end when removing the core support? Who is a good supplier for a replacment?

Second, some of the fiberglass has come loose from the front support between the RF headlight and the hood opening. Should I try and pull the support completely out and re-bond the whole section or just re-bond the area that has lifted? It seems that there are three layers up in there. Mine has come apart between the top two. I have removed the headlight assemblies to get a better look and want the fix to last.

Thanks

Thanks for the info. I want to do the car properly and don't have a problem with getting into a project if it is required to do the job right. The car has been in storage for 22 years. I am amazed at how poorly some sections help up and amazed at how well other section did. It seems the cheaper/easier to access areas held up the best! I guess I should start getting good at working with fiberglass, I've done it in the past but not on this scale.
Thanks again.
