I'm needing some advice on how to gain access to the bellhousing bolt that holds the transmission dipstick securely on my 76 Corvette with TH350 transmission. I have not found the right combination of extensions to remove the bolt. I'm looking to hear from someone with experience with this application. Thanks!!

I finally got the bolt out and it was tough. I was able to do this with a 3/8 drive-9/16-shallow-6 point-wobble socket-with a 1 foot extension. It was slow and tedious because the wobble socket would bind up and I would have to reposition it for another twist. After getting the bolt out and pulling the transmission dipstick tube out of the transmission I was unable to remove the tube from the engine compartment due to the contours of the tube and the transmission being recessed under the firewall. I was able to get the new tube seal installed in the limited space with the tube out of the transmission. All this was done with the exhaust intact and the battery hot cable routed in its factory location. I hope this helps someone having a tube seal leak.
