Hi all. I have now reached the interior of my 77 resto project and have decided to start with the doors. They have a bit of rust on the rear corner seams and the working components inside look like they have some surface rust and are quite dirty ( it was sitting for a good while in weather when i found it). The windows are up and are electric but no power to get them down. All levers and stuff work as they should.

I want to take out the internals and restore them properly, I also want to repair the rust in the rear corner seams on both doors and make sure the motors work properly.

Should I:

1. Remove the outer fiberglass skin to get at the insides
2. Work with the small cutouts already in the door

I think 1 is the best option but what is the best way of removing the outer skin.

Thanks for the input.
