77 floor pans in a 76?

Is it possible that a 76 had 77 floor pans?

I have Corbeau Seats and the brackets that were supposed fit a 76 weren't even close. I sent in my measurements to Corbeau and evidently they match a 77 and not a 76.

Anyone with a 76 feel like measuring the distance between the seat mount bolts in your floor pan?

Hi,
It's always possible you have a "late" '76....
Often times different things were forced into
production late in th year. What are the last
5 of your v.i.n.? They made 46558 Corvettes
in the 1976 model year..

I will have to check on the VIN numbers. You happen to know what the cutoff is between a "early" and a "late" model? Mine does have A/C and the Compressor is the A-6 which I thought was only on the early models, but that could have been changed out over the years.

Cutoff date is different, depending upon the part.

I used stock '79 seats in my '76. Bolted right in. Vin #29750 - April '76 from what I can find.

Well the new brackets came and they fit perfectly, but the part on the bracket says 78-82 Vettes. Go figure. Anyways looks like I don't have 76 floor pans which I guess is good to know.
