77 front spoilers

I see a lot of the add-on spoilers on 77s on e-bay. Was this an option that year? They look just like the ones on the pace cars and on the years 78-79.

No. Not an option, but not uncommon. The Pace Car spoliers were popular with a lot of folks and added to existing cars after '78. Almost all the aftermarket providers had pace car spoiler packages and you could get the real thing over the counter at Chevrolet dealers.
