79-82 seat tracks-differences between sides?

Are there supposed to be differences from the passenger side to the driver's side? I'm just now wondering why. FWIW... I have manual seats.

The reason I ask is that my driver's and passenger's sides are different- and does this mean one belongs on one side as opposed to the other. It appears one side uses a factory welded intermediary where as the other side does not. Does it mean anything?

Left and right seats are the same and swapable. Seat adjusters are left and right. What are you calling an intermediary?
