80 - 82 Bumper extension

Mine is all busted up byond repair, along with the spoiler that deflects the air flow to the engine compartment.

Has anyone used this part from Eckler's?

yes I had to use it on mine it is an intregal part!!it bolts directly to the frame,and orients the entire nose piece!!
If I remember correctly,(mine was done last winter)there are several pieces that had to bolt to this as well!!!the only reason I bought it from ecklers was b/c they were the only ones that carried that piece

I had to make some adjustments to the piece that supports the lower air dam to get the dam at the correct height. (I think Eckler's buys this part from them.) It is not identical to the stock unit but is a good substitute.

Craig32 - Good eye on the e-bay part. I called the guy. Very friendly, but he said his part had the spoiler hook banged up too.

Bill81vette - Did the part from Eckler's bolt on right. i.e. did the holes line up correctly and did it hold the spoiler on at the right height? Any issues you ran into to make the install go smooth. Sometimes I seem to break things a little worse before I get them right, DOH. :eyerole

82X-FireVette - I have talked to Marie over there at Vanacor's and they don't have one in stock. That was about a month ago and yesterday she still didn't know when/if they would get any more in.

Thank you all for the input. I think I will have to go for the Eckler's part. I have got a bad case of instant gratification-itis.

yes it bolted right up no problem...only problem was that there was very little room to put my big hands in by the spoiler to bolt it back to the rest of the body ...
