80 Bumper on a 78

OK, I'm wanted to check to be sure about this;

Will the stock Flex rear bumper off an 80 just bolt on my 78?

I know the after market fiberglass ones will but, being the cheap guy I am and the fact I don't have the money to buy one of those right now, I have found a stock one used for about 1/3 the cost. So, can any of you smart people out there tell if I can do this.

Gary, you may have to buy the mounting hardware for the flex. the rear mounting should be very close, i believe the rear structures are very similar. my 82 style 'glass bumper fits good. tomorrow i'll crawl under it and take a closer look for you.

I have a rear bumper off of an 81 on my 76. It bolted right up and fits like a glove.

Nope, that wasn't mine. Mine's all apart in my garage begging me to spend more time on it.
