81 carb issue

[Bills money pit]

I recently posted a cry for help to cure a stumble off idle. I received many suggestions and considered each one. Here is what cured the stumble.

The carb was disassembled and vatted. New kit put in, mixture solenoid ohmed, checked good. Throttle posiition sensor checked good. Upon assembly, I could see a more significant spray from the accererator pump.

Adjusted the choke, car now runs great.

Here is the bottom line. the accelerator pump was not spraying from off idle to a quarter throttle, hince the stumble. The new accelerator pump sprays from off idle as orginally intended.

Cause: Accelerator pump not spraying till quarter throttle!!!!!

Secondary issue: Air conditioner would only blow air cooled to 58 degrees.
Put in 8 oz of R-12 and now the air is cooled to 50 degrees. Must now wear a coat while driving, HA! HA!

Life is now good and look out world here comes one bad and nice 81 covette.

if you put in some more R-12 you can get it to snow inside the vette!!!!
