'81 Nose Emblem

My vette is missing the nose emblem. I've been checking around and haven't found one yet...Any Ideas ?

Have you tried all of the usual corvette parts suppliers? How about any of the used parts companies?

No, sorry...I used a great place down in Florida last year but my computer crashed since then and I lost a lot of info, that being some of it. If I can dig up the receipt I'll let you know, I'm checking for it now.

Just found it...Art's Corvettes in Ft.Lauderdale, FL. E-mailaddress: artscorvettes.com, phone 954-763-1123. They had the part no one else did, it was like brand new and they gave me a very accurate description and the price was very reasonable. Hope this is not one you already checked...good luck.

Lots of Luck finding one, its like searching for hens teeth. I saw an 81 last week with an 80 emblem on it, it must have been a new owner and he didn't realize that it should have a black base.

I see them ever so often on eBay eBay 81 Vette and eBay 1981 Corvette

I also have a good friend in California that bought a few of them off eBay. I think he has about 8 or 10 NEW 1981 Nose Emblems now. I don't know if he wants to part with them or if he does what he'll be asking for them.

He may be able to help you out, contat 1981Corvette and see what he says. Let him know "Yoda" sent ya

I just took the short cut for mine, bought an "80" scuffed, primed & painted the crome to black. Looks good, unless you need NCRS origanality. It is a slightly different size, bit the holes line up. I figure if I ever run accross an "81" at a decent price, I can always make the swap, but at $100 or so bucks for an "81", I'm a bit concerned how long something will last when it is just stuck on with double back tape.

I just received an Eckler's Catalogue, the 2005 C3 Specialty No 395 and on page 12 they show nose emblems for the 81, part number A2053 for $29.99 USD.....not sure if they are listed in the on-line catalogue, but you can phone them at 1-800-327-4868....very likely an aftermarket repro.....regards...dbj

I have not called Ecklers yet, but they have published the emblem before, but when you call the say it is a misprint, no longer available item.

Hey Yoda,
I now have 11 - 81 nose emblems including that one that cost me a fortune cause YOU WERE BIDDING AGAINST ME!!!

Also 7-Gas door emblems. But these are readily available.
Bill shamed me into replacing my gas emblem..:eyerole

Anyway, I may be needing new ones too. Interested in selling any? I have a twenty year old son I could swap...
