81 radio question

The 81' I bought a couple of weeks ago, has no radio, it has an 8-track, how can this be, I thought they all had at least radio's. This is flat black with the door for the 8 track and the buttons for the 8 track but no radio at all. Anyone know how this works?

315 81's were ordered with no radio of any kind (RPO UL5 Radio Delete); the 8-track was only available as part of one of the factory ETR stereo radios. If yours has only an 8-track player, it's an aftermarket installation; could have replaced a factory radio, or could have been installed in a car ordered with the radio delete to begin with.
