Hi,

Wondering if anyone has ever experienced their vette stalling when idling or when making turns after a long dive of say 20 -30 minutes. I am able to start the car right after it stalls but it seems that that I am not getting power from the battery but then it just kicks in. Any help would be appreciated

Is she stalling when you deaccelerate or when your idling for a few seconds?

Greetings Peter

I would think this is the point where the idle system kicks in and the engine should pick up to stay idling. Have you ever cleaned the carb?

Greetings Peter

Hi Peter,

I Just got the car late last year. I have never cleaned the carb. Good suggestion. I will Try it.

Sounds to me like the positive battery cable connection at the top of the starter solenoid is loose. The decelleration creates a torque that may be openning up your connection since the engine moves in relation to the body/frame.

Now that I think about it when I put the battery in I did not tighten the cables

Thanks

I have not correct the problem yet but it is starting to look like a bad igition coil. It acts up when the car warm's up and the car does back fire at times. I am thinking of getting it replaced

Thanks for the update! And good to hear the car is in perfect order ones again :)

Greetings Peter
