82 exhaust air tubes

There is an air tube that runs fron one side of the motor to the other and us hooked to each exhaust manifolf via air tubes, the tube sets up agianst the front of the block on top of the water pump. My tube is rusty and would like to replace is with a steel one and not just run a piece of rubber hose. Can't get the part a Chevy anymore, does anyone know where I can buy this tube from ?

I would check the various corvette websites.
www.corvetteamerica.com has a lot of parts, and their website is very easy to navigate. They are very good, but they are not always the cheapest.
http://www.corvettecentral.com/ Is also good. They are cheaper on a lot of things, but it is a bit harder to find parts.
I wish i could help, but my '82 is taking advantage of the fact that my state has no emissions tests.

I was able to get one on EBay. Keep looking and try different key words. Mine was listed as a "crossover tube". It came off a hurricane damaged 12,000 mile car and looked brand new. The gold cad plating is still shiny. Good luck!
