i put a new tps on my car i set at .54 i drive it about 50 miles it starts cutting out and wants to stall out at a stop. when i get home i re-check the setting on the tps and it reads .47.the screws are tight why does it keep loosing its setting?

R U setting it w ignition ON but motor OFF? Is your throttle sticking? Have u done the Min Air adjustment?

Could you explain the "min air" adjustment?

To the OP, ignition ON engine NOT running is important, like xfireZ51 said. You also might want to make sure your IAC's are not sticking; that would cause similar effects :beer

Min Air adjustment sets the throttle opening that maximizes vacuum at idle w the IACs inoperative. You need to set that first since it becomes the 0% TPS point for the ECM. Then you set the TPS V to be ~ .54v. 84 TPS is a bit different from the TPI motors since min air needs to also include synchronizing the 2 TBs.
