I have an 84 which I had the Cluster reconditioned as I thought the problem was in cluster. Maybe someone can help me w/diagnosis and how to fix?
When I am out 30 minutes or so the Speedometer and odometer stops working. About 25 - 30 minutes later it will suddenly come on again or bounce up and down. I run the car on highway and usually know my Hway speed by Tach reading which is not affected. This is annoying though. Any suggestions where to start and how to get at?
Someone suggested the speedometer sensor in transmission.
Is that hard to get at and Change?
