I have a 84 vette & when driving I here a clunking noise from the front when i hit small bumps in the road. It seems sound like the spring is slaping on something. I replaced the swaybar links & mount already. Any help would be great.
Thanks Mark

Also check out the brake pad anti rattle springs...a pad rattle over bumps can drive ya crazy! An easy way is to apply the brake just slightly when you go over a bump...see if it eliminates the problem.

I had a similar sound, turned out to be the bottom of the shock had slipped out of the rubber grommet and was riding on the small crossbar mount. Replaced shock ...noise gone.

It seems to be coming from the left side. Has anyone had problems With the mounting rubber? You can push down on the front & make the noise ( more of a creaking sound) Again thanks.

I've had problems with older vehicles with rubber. Even though it looks good it gets dry. I have been very successful with some silicone spray in suspected area's. It knocks out creaking and squeeks. A few treatmnets may be necessary.
