85 vette color need help

hello

my farther and i have purchased an 85 coupe last week
that is good condition except for some chips and
scratches in the paint. we plan on repainting the car in
march or april.the car is beautiful plum color but i dont know
if this is the origional color of the car the same color of JonM's
car, which has a pic in a perly to the "putting money in a mid-year
c-4" . where could i find the paint code numbers to verify this?
not that we want to change the color we just would love to
know.

85 stuff

Just got my 1st vette. A 85 also. My SPI label is in storage behind drivers seat. Go to the tech center and look up your model in the model centerand you will find alot of info on your car.
www.c4vettes.com has also been a gr8 help with my endeavors to get mine back up to speed. But you found the right place to learn it all here at CAC!

IT is your vette and that is all that matters.

Anyway, I do not think that is a factory color for the '85 model year. It looks like the color of a pontiac sunbird I had and the blackrose LT1's and such.

Never the less it is a nice color on the car.
