Beautiful cars. VATS are a pain in the butt when they start acting up. All is well if you wait the 4 minutes....then start. Sometimes, you have to do it 3 times and waste 12 minutes in the heat, but at least it starts. My mechanic is checking the starter? Is that correct.

Help. Thanks

Never had this problem with my 88 but am prepared for a 4-minute wait someday. From what I have read on the C4 tech forum this problem can be caused by the chip (?) on your ignition key. I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will jump in and correct me...

Hey Chief...

Look at the tool bar at the top and click on search....then look for VATS posts....you will find a ton of info...sure to answer your question as well as tell you how to bypass the vats system if you so desire...
