88 coupe hood release

Does any one know how to open an 88's hood when the release only unlatches one side?

Bruce, there is a tool available from the aftermarket suppliers that is nothing more that a piece of steel about 40" long with 90 degree opposing bends at both ends. You have to insert the tool through the windlace at the front of the door and feel around to catch the release.

No C4 should be without one of these, and you can save a few bucks if you make it yourself.

Forgive the ignorance. Does anyone have an illustration of this "tool" ,giving gauge etc ? Roger.
