A friend of mine with a 90 has a question. His low coolant light keeps coming on intermetintly. He has had it serviced (and replaced the radiator cap) and now the car runs fine. It's just that the light comes on whenever it feels like it. He has been checking it and keeps the required amount of water in the overflow bottle. Any suggestions.

I've had the same problem with my '89.
I suspect the car has an "air bubble" in the cooling system.
I've cured the problem by running the car for 15 or more minutes, hot,
with the heater full on.
This may have to be repeated for several successive days.
Check the radiator and overflow tank each day when cold.
HTH LOL
