92 Door Problem

The door panel on my 92 will not stay on at the top. The panel appears to have a crack on the inside which is allowing the top of the panel to pull away from the door. $450.00 for new panel which is perfect otherwise. Anyone have a similar prob. I'm thinking of making a longer seal strip so it can hook over the door better. Any other ideas.

Just did a search on the prob. Wow, a lot of info and about 10 ways to possibly fix it. Should save me from getting a new panel.

I'm going to try the soldering iron trick to fix the cracks. Maybe strenthen it up with some fiberglass. I'm amazed that a car that used to cost this much has probs like this. I've owned over 20 cars, some from the early 60's and never had a prob like this. Seems Chevy spent all the money on the motor and suspension.
