we finally got all the electrical probs sorted out and took a spontaneous trip to las vegas..300 miles of mostly desert..lol
we averaged about 23/24 mpg...not too bad considering the way we moved through traffic..
we stayed with the leaders all the way crusing between 80 and 100..flowing with the traffic..
once downtown , on the strip it was hot like hell..lol
the temp guage indicate 220, much higher than i had seen in los angeles 204,but still acceptable considering the outside temp(who knows maybe 100..?)
the trip back was much the same with a few full throttle runs up an on ramp or two..everything seems to work just fine..
down side:
the air conditioner doesnt exact ally blow ice when its hot outside.. like over 100
its annoying
rattles and wind noise..a little higher than i would like..
handling is aces ,no problem..quick response and good brakes..lol
i could stand a few more ponys under the hood..300 just aint enough
the ring gear is way high turning less than 2000 at 80mph
but very comfortable ride
and drives with little input
after the trip, the oil was still transparent and up to the mark where it was befor we left.
the same is true of all the fluids
120,000+ miles and still strong and reliable..and fuel efficient ...amazing, and well ahead of its time
