I am looking for a set of NICE Door sills for my Ruby 40th 'Vert and cannot decide what would look better, Black or Chrome.
I have a set of Durasills on my black coupe that run about 28" long (from the front of the sill to about 4" past the back of the e-brake cover) and I cannot seem to locate a distributor of those...
(I have a set of black sillplates on my red coupe from Altec but, those are only about 18" long and don't really look as sharp :( )
Let me know what you have, where to get them and if you have a nice pic, please post - Thanks!

I'm not a fan of chrome, I say black. I have a nice set and love the way they look.

Chrome on that car, no way man! Go with black or the same color as the interior. Chrome would detract from the aerobody when the doors are open:eyerole, especially with an interior as dark as yours.

I vote for black due to the cars color combo. I do have chrome sills on my blue '85.

Good luck!

I have chrome on my Ruby and really like it, it is all in your taste

Black would look best, their isn't enough chrome on these cars.
to me chrome would only look OK on wheels & exhaust.
but - thats just me...

thanks for the replies! I may just go w/ basic black... chrome would be 2nd choice as the ruby red 93's used chrome on emblems, etc.

One thing I still cannot find is DURASILL's brand sill plates :(
-Anyone know where they are sold??

Thanks!

My Dad has a '93 Coupe and for his birthday I ordered 2 chrome 40th logo emblems and stuck them on a pair of black door sills. They turned out awesome and are truly one-of-a-kind. They look really cool.

Got the SS ones from Eckler's. One was dented; the other dents VERY easily.

Never again.
