94 seats fit in a 1986??

have seen a few later year C4 seat cushions, no buckets for sale and i love the look of them over my 86 standard seats that are in o.k. shape. but the 94 and later seat cushions fit in my 86 buckets?? any body else done this switch?

They'll fit no problem. I put 96 seats in my 91. I even left the orig seat pan in and just swapped the foam onto the bottom and some minor hardware and bolted the 96 backs onto the 91 seat pan. I've even seen a few C4's with C5 seats. enjoy

thanks, good to know but are you saying they will fit in my buckets or in just mean they fit in my vette? its just the 2 upper and 2 lower cushions i am looking at so i would have to re-used my 1986 buckets if they are the same???
