Does anyone know if the 255 45s on the front and 275 40s on the rear instead of the 285s will make a big difference. I was given a pair of new 275 40s to use on the rear. They are only 1/4" or less in diam.

If your question is can you run 275's on the rear instead of the 285's the answer is yes you can.

In fact, they are even a stock size, if you had 9.5" rims all around.
