95 coupe heater control valve burst

I've had the little black plastic heater control valve burst twice this week. It's a easy fix but I would rather fix whatever is causing this. Anyone else had this problem or heard of it.
 
I would be helpfull if you could provide a picture of the part you are talking about. I looked in my manual and did not find anything by that name so a picture might make it possible to match up with somthing in the manual.

Ok mystery is solved. Being caused by a blown head gasket. Confirmed it with a tester that checks for combustion gas in the cooling system. Double confirmed now that the heads are sitting in the floor of my garage. Apparently the heater control valve can't stand a little extra pressure. POS, but it did tell on the head gasket.
