I have just purchased a 96 LT4 350 with aluminium heads ,4 bolt rated at 395hp ? ,the injection is LT4 [new] & it is running a electronic distributor not a coil pack which every engine I see has a coil pack not a distributor.
Is there any reason for this [I have been told this is a common mod ].
Also what is the line running from the throttle body to the rear of both cylinders , what is its purpose & do I need it ?

Thankyou looking forward to your responses
Norm

Congrats on the car. The original LT4s were rated with 330hp (more like 350hp, and the 8th digit in the vin is a "5"), so yours has some mods already.

As far as the line, I don't think I know what you are talking about. Could you describe it a little more, what path does it take? There are lines that carry coolant to and from the tb, I'm thinking you're refering to those...

Norm,
Who has given it a 395hp rating? Your description does not give any clues as to why it would be uprated from the stock 330hp.
Post pictures of the mystery lines.
