Does anybody know of a link to a write-up about changing out the serpentine belt on a 97?
I'm going to do it tomorrow and a quick read about someone else doing it first never hurts.
Thanks
John

This took all of 3 minutes. I'm almost embarrassed to have asked now.
Use a 15 mm socket or wrench to relieve the pressure from the tensioner, (The pulley right in front of the oil fill) slide the belt off of it and then remove it. Re-run the new belt, following the diagram on the label in the engine bay. Slip it back over the tensioner. Done.
Onto the plugs. :)

hey there,
it seems like good sense to replace the a/c belt and tensioner while you have the main belt off.later,Todd.

I was chasing down a power steering problem, but you are right that other belt could probably be replaced. I did the plugs and plug wires One thing at a time. I need to replace the Cats\H-pipe now.
