97 Wheels on an 89 Vette?

My friend has a 1997 Vette and he said I could have his old wheels. Does anyone know if they will fit my 1989?

I installed my wagon wheel from my 97 on my 84. The bolt pattern and the center hub is the same. However, the off set is different of the 16 inches wheel of my 84. Now, if you have 17 inches on your 89, that should work. I know that if we want to install C4 17 inches wheel on a C4 to replace the 16 inches wheels, it requires spacer. So that makes sense that C5 wheels can replace C4 17 inches without a problem. Ask Rain. He installed C5 wheels on his 1996.

Check the offset indeed. The '97 vette has got a different offset then a '89. Which doesn't mean they won't fit.

I run them on the rear of my 89 coupe at the drag strip they bolt right up!
