I am trying to press new bushings back into the a-arms. I don't think we have them in all the way though. Is there a special way to get them in or maybe a special tool or do I have to take these to a machine shop?

Be sure and make up a spacer tube to go between the two horns on the control arms so you don't bend them while pressing the bushings. :)

You can try a little trick I learned, place the bushings in the freezer until very cold, then have everything ready to insert the bushing into the A-arm. They should go in about 1/2 way to assist with aligment. Use a socket on the inside, large enough for the bushing to fit into and another socket to drive the bushing home.
Additionaly, do not tighten the two end bolts up up until the car is on the ground and the bushings are loaded. Hope this helps.
