A/C hose nightmare??? 85 Vette

Hey guys,

I need to replace the a/c lines on my 85 Vette. I had replaced the a/c lines on my 90...no sweat. Just went to the local autozone or discount auto...whatever, and ordered them, and had a set in a day.

On the 85 Vette, I have searched all over and can't even find a part number for them.

I tried to replace the lines with my "make your own hose" kit I used to build the 69 lines from scratch, but the nipples are different on the stock metal part of the lines.

Anyway, I am going to hit a local hose company today and see if they can weld new ends on and build lines for me.


Anybody else run into this?

Thanks Jeff...As usual you are Johnny on the spot with great info.

I dropped them at a local fabricator shop today. The issue was trying to get them right away (like yesterday!).

I think I might have damaged the evap when I had it out cleaning it. I won't know until I can pull a good vacuum down on it and see if it holds...thus, I need the lines now.

I will know on Wed if they were able to build them. If not, I am going to order from where you linked and be done with it.
