a/c question

recently had to change air bag sensor-when completed and codes cleared-ran into a problem with a/c(most likely unrelated) i cannot turn the a/c off. when i push the pad for off-the lcd will not move from auto and shut system down. i can change modes and fan speeds but not to off position. any ideas? no dealers around my area(cincinnati) that i trust. car is 90 zr1 thanks for any advice paul

Have you tried disconnecting the battery yet. That sounds like a strange little gremlin. If you have not tried that yet give it a try. Good luck
