Just a bunch of parts....
I just purchased a chrome A6 compressor and the ad states that it does not come with a "super heat switch". I'm not sure what that is. Does anyone have a picture of it? :confused

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff: The superheat switch is discussed in detail in the chevrolet service manual. It is inserted into the rear of the AC compressor. It is designed to " sense suction gas temperatures". It is comprised of an electrical switch and a sensing tube. The tube is inserted into the compressor. The purpose of the superheat swithc is to prevent compressor damage due to loss of refrigerant charge. The switch cuts off the compressor in the event of loss of refrigerant.
