I believe it was Aug. 2003 and Mike Zoner was sharing his story about his forst project assigned as he bagan working @ Callaway Cars *tap*tap*

It centered around a Range Rover and a Corvette Engine - while soome of the details may have been lost in the night, what I recall seems to fit the description found Here:

Anyone else remember that story????? :m

You are bidding on a 1985 Range Rover that someone put a lot of time and money into prior to it rolling over while tied down ON THE TRAILER!! This was a running vehicle prior to this unfortunate incident. This unique vehicle has an aluminum head CALLAWAY CORVETTE MOTOR Stuffed under the hood...

I remember the story quite well.... *tap* *tap*

However its quite sad to see what has happened to this Callaway, particularly the way the engine was let to rot. Its looks like it went through a few Snow Storms, Hurricanes (which it probably did), left uncovered, scavenged, and left to die. Even if it was rolled, someone could have pulled the engine and covered it after the insurance payout.

How sad! :ugh

I too remember the story. That's probably the Rover! Think about it, the era of 1985 is about right, when Zoner started, huh? That's funny.

Now that's a Callaway project that makes #59 look a lot better. Car arrived today! Probably will not have as much posting time with the Callaway restore plus all the other work and home projects for the summer:crazy
