So i've been poking around the site for a while now and didn't think my car was show worthy so i never posted pics but i figured what the hell and decided to show her off. She has a couple of major things that need to be fixed before shes ready for the road and a bunch of minor things to make me happy. I've named her Yolanda.

I'm very excited about the restoration, it looks like a lot but the frame is perfect with a new T350 tranny and other toys. only thing holding me back from driving this is a Yoke and rear caliper bracket. It came with all the interior parts also so it just need to be cleaned and put back together.

Looks like you will be busy this winter. Which is probably the best time to do it, since most Corvette owners have to put away their Vettes through the winter (with the exception of southwest and southeast owners).

The worst part of doing these kind of restorations is that the summers come and go, and one misses the opportunity to take a cruise, hang-out at a local car show (with ones own car), or just plainly miss driving somewhere with it (like Cruise-Fest events :ohnoes).

I kinda-like Yolanda's shoes the way they are...if you were to slap some racing stickers on her she could play the part of a Bonneville racer...:thumb

Welcome again to the CAC, thanks for posting the pic's, many of us started out with a lot less. C3's are the most beautiful cars on the road.
Keep posting and be proud of your car! As you do each step we all learn something. PG.

:chuckle I like this statement "She has a couple of major things that need to be fixed before shes ready for the road and a bunch of minor things to make me happy. I've named her Yolanda." :chuckle

I think you'll find a few surprises when cleaning out the interior/exterior and restoring, AND You'll change your mind a few times, AND you'll find Uncle Bubba helped out along the way, AND YOU'LL be amazed at some of the genius "fix's" Uncle Bubba came up with :chuckle

It times like those that you need to step back and have a Good Laugh, then think if someone somewhere is looking at one of you're old Uncle Bubba Fix's :boogie We all have one or two somewhere out there :rotfl Above all Enjoy the experience and the "Bonding" ;)

It may seem like a waste of time, and a pita.... BUT... try to keep a notebook in the garage, outline your objective, then make notes as you work on Yolanda with your finds, and progress, OH YEA as said earlier take Lot's Of Pictures.. (I'm a the last person that should say take pictures :chuckle Me and camera's are Fire & Water together :W )

Bud

I love it. Throw a 5 gl. bucket in the drivers side and own the road. Oh and by the way, that ol' Uncle Bubba do get around. Looks like he's worked on mine more than a couple of times.
