A one of a kind Gold 2003 Corvette from the NCM

As The Museum begins another great fund raising campaign, we get to enjoy the very special and ONLY ONE GOLD 2003 Corvette!
Hummmm, Maybe they should have made all the 50th's in this color- $2500 goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the rest continues to support the NCM -Can't wait to see it in person! NICE JOB- Looks Great!

Well I can't say either way.... but here are why I am suspect, the windshield has no details, and is solid and also the lighting looks really bright to have no shadow. Nevertheless that is an awesome idea and I love the color.

Wow is right ! They made a one of a kind a couple of years ago for a contest for factory employees . It was beautiful too . We noticed last fall it is now in the museum . I can't imagine the value of these but I bet it would be like hitting a lottery . Cliff

Well, we stopped on the way home and bought 4 lotto tickets to see if we could "bid" on this car.

Now, we read on the NCM site that the car has an auto trans:cry

I too also always believed the 50th anniversary corvette should have been gold..although..I probably wouldn't have bought that color..

THAT IS UNTIL I SAW THAT PHOTO! WOW! GM REALLY MISSED THE BOAT BY NOT OFFERING THAT AS THE 50TH...!!!!

Screaming color..heck..maybe..since this year coming up is the actual 50th year ..they will produce that car..

To bad GM was not willing to do it for real. If they can paint one they could paint 3000 even if they had to job the panels out to Chrysler. Kinda looks like the PT cruiser gold color. Funny how the Bowling Green plant always has "problems" painting Corvette colors that other makers spit out like gumballs. Even Cadillac has a color close to this in the CTX. It would appear someone at Chevrolet is mighty afraid of color otherwise Corvette would have a couple daring colors on there palet.

The color is tight but they could lose those decals on the hood and I hope they don't leave that "Go For The Gold" on the windshield. I agree with Black Ice they could work on the gumball colors; candy apples would be the ticket!

I think the color looks great as well. Didn't they test an Aztec Gold color in 1998 in 23 cars or something like that? I thought there was some problem getting the body panels to match in color. The car in the pic does look Photochopped as well.
